Four Wheel Camper Project M Storage: Low-Profile Duffel Cabinets

Low-profile duffel cabinets in a Four Wheel Camper Project M.
Mike wanted more gear storage in his Four Wheel Camper Project M, and it had to stay out of the way so the camper still closes. He mounted two LoftLockers very close to the ceiling, with thin washers as spacers, to turn Patagonia duffels into low-profile cabinets.
... clean solution to gear storage...

Mike's setup
Mike has a Four Wheel Camper Project M and wanted more gear storage. He put two LoftLockers along the rear wall, up on the ceiling.
The Project M has to close, so Mike wanted a very low profile. He put very thin spacers, like washers, between each LoftLocker and the ceiling so it sits as close as it can. That way the Project M would still close.
How Mike did it
Mike shared photos of his storage mod as he went. Here is what they show.
01 The ceiling ribs
Mike first thought he would run L-track along the wall. After looking at his setup, he decided to mount straight to the ceiling ribs instead.
“So what I did was install them directly to the aluminum studs.”
— Mike, in his video

02 The LoftLocker
He skipped the L-track and mounted each LoftLocker right to the ceiling ribs, along the rear wall.
“Flat up against the ceiling.”
— Mike, in his video

03 The thin spacers
Mike put very thin spacers, like washers, between each LoftLocker and the ceiling. That keeps the profile very low, so the Project M would still close.
“Super flush. Closes no problem. Super clean.”
— Mike, in his video

04 The duffel
A Patagonia duffel hangs from the LoftLocker, tight against the ceiling and out of the way.
“... slide right off just like that.”
— Mike, in his video

LoftLockers hang duffels as cabinets in trucks, vans & campers.
