How to use Side Loading LoftLockers | How to use Front Loading LoftLockers |
Installation is straightforward.
The LoftLocker can be installed with 2 robust fasteners to most sturdy surfaces.
When not using L-Track or T-Slot, be sure to add spacers between the LoftLocker and the mounting surface to make space for the duffel's webbing. Spacers are typically 3/4" - 1" thick and can be anything that fits the particular installation. Examples could be: fender washers, plywood or other timber, thick nylon blocks etc.
Many customers fasten LoftLockers to a stringer that is bolted to the van's roof ribs.
Stringers can be anything that will support the weight of the duffel and the contents. Examples include 3/4" ply, healthy 2x4, E-track, L-Track, T-Slot, Unistrut, etc
NOTE: Van packages do not include installation hardware. This is because of the large number of trailer designs, mounting locations, surfaces and stringer types.
